Friendship?

So I watched Studio 60 tonight, I have to say I enjoyed it. And by now the meds have worn off.

One question; is the show based upon a buddy buddy best friend premise? Because I finally stopped believing in buddy buddy best friendship ten years ago.

I know, I'm a late bloomer.

_______

I'm sure the muscle relaxant, the codeine, the tylenol, the ice, the heat, and the rest all contributed to getting my back back to normal this weekend. But honestly? The rolled up towel I put in my lombar region feels the best.

And the reward? I got work tomorrow. Grr.

That's the Muscle Rexaxant Talking

Tanks Gad for my sister, who woke up early to take me to Urgent Care this morning. There's no way I could have parked the car and walked in on my own steam. Later, when they explained to me how I'd have to go down the hall to pay the cash, I sat in the lobby (in mild to medium discomfort) while she went and got the meds.

Now I'm home, and she's getting back from the store with breakfast.

And now she's making me breakfast!

There's a Safeway down the block from my house, she says they're having their grand-reopening after their renovation. It's 10 am and the checker told my sister she's already given away three ipods! We're totally going back .

Apparently, there's also a "steak truck," like a taco truck, only steak.

Walking Funny Today

Today there was a stiffness in my lower back that did't go away. I walked all over school gingerly like an old man. Just when I take five or six comfortable steps, my back would seize up again. The worst were stairs, pain at every step. I taught most of my class sitting in a chair; no big deal, I gave a quiz.

I tried to walk it off, didn't work. Stretch it off, didn't work.

Luckily it was a short day, so I was able to rest, go home after classes and take a Tylonol/codeine pill that was prescribed to me for my kidney biopsy a couple weeks ago. The codeine does the trick for a couple of hours, but then the pain comes back. The best, most therapeutic place so far has been the driver's seat of my car; after I drive for a while, it feels better.

Now I'm home, and I think I'm going to bed.

I didn't lift anything! There was no straining! All I know is that my coworker today, the one that farted in class, offered to carry my bag to my car for me.

Last night, as I was blogging, I had a monster cramp in the arch of my right foot, which is odd, because it might be the seventh muscle cramp I've ever experineced in my life. Do I need potassium? Of course I do, I'm taking a water pill to lower my bp. No wonder I have been craving baked potatoes.
