Long Live Plaid Flannel

I went to K-Marche before 中文课 this evening and bought plaid flannel pants and shirts. The pants will be worn in the house only, but the shirts might be worn to work.

This is the genius of Generation X. When it was our turn to dictate style in the early 90s, we didn't. We just wore the most comfortable, warmest, cheapest thing we could. Plaid flannel.

The intelligencia, uncomfortable with a fashion vaccuum, handily repackaged it, called it "Grunge" and it was a fad for about five minutes.

I miss the early 90s. I miss college. I miss our non conformist conformity.

And I loves me some plaid flannel. I don't care if I look like a lumberjack.
