This is a micromeatballs and cabbage soup. First, I made tiny patties out of the meat with salt, pepper, and a dash of liquid smoke. Brown both sides, and the patties will ball up. Add cabbage, a can of pho-broth in a can, and a handfull of cilantro. Squeeze of lime or drop of vinager before serving.

looks simple enough for a non-cook (me) to make. i'll have to try it and then have friends over for it. rachel reis of '20 minute meals' has nothing on me .. i beat her with my 5 minute meals .. take-outs are great!

Regular beef broth would be fine, too, or a mix of regular broth and pho broth. pho broth in a can can be too salty.

Next time I might add noodles.

Be sure to serve with sirachi, plum sauce, lime, and jalape

do you grocery shop every day or just once a week?

maybe twice a week. I can go every day, since Safeway is down the block from my house, but I've been slammed lately, so I've been buying five days worth of meat.

It is only wednesday, but I might go again later just to get me some diet snapple.
