This weekend
I'm hungry now, and I have a little bit of food on the house, but I don't want to have to COOK it. Hmph. I want to just leave the house to go get some food, but I've gotten sucked in by King 5 News' teaser: A local theater advertized they would be showing Brokeback Mountain, but have pulled the movie. So rather than go get food, I have to stay and see what that's about. It's not on their website (I checked). I hate getting sucked in by the stupid news teaser. They won't show it until the end of the newscast.
My friend A and I have been obsessed by Brokeback Mountain since we saw it the other day; whenever we see each other, we quote a line like "I wish I knew how to quit you."
The responsible thing to do this weekend would be to check myself voluntarily into grading hell. I have a rehearsal tomorrow morning, and there are plenty of things around the house to take care of, including cleaning the bathrooms, buying a new toilet seat, putting away the x-mas tree.
Dr. King is on the cover of this week's Time Magazine, and I'm a little worried about what the secret agony is now. Sounds scandalous. I will read it and then hit the road for some food.
