Chocolate squares cereal for breakfast, then went to the petit Casino up the street for veggies etc. We started rolling lumpia around eleven, but it was 1pm when we finally dropped them in oil. It was a greasy, soggy disasterr, but the family ate them up. I tried to suggest that they drink some hot tea for their intestinal health, but my French started long ago to flush itself down the toilet. My shoes speak better french than me now. Anyway, lunch was lumpia with basmati rice, cucumber sticks with soy and diced tomato with celery salt. We left the green salad in the kitchen, and dessert was nougat/pistacchio and vanilla ice cream with banana lumpia. Also a soggy dissapointment.
I'm all packed now, and I've written the dedications in the gift books. I'm a little worried about Paris, what with the attacks in London and all. I sent my sister the parent phone tree contact just in case, and will keep my cell on me as we travel so I can send texts.
I'll be glad to wrap up this trip, I have the whole rest of the summer ahead of me.
