Day 2

Paris. Breakfast at hotel. Errands. Notre Dame. Glace @ ile st. louis, poire. deportation memorlal. Ste. Chappelle was on strike, so gave free time, went to lunch in Mouftard neighborhood; ordered avacado salad and grilled lamb; fruit salad for light dessert. J talked about her family. Met group at Place St. Michel, walked to Musee D'Orsay. Too tired for grand tour, saw favorite renoir. metro back to hotel. slept for two hours (bad!) left for dinner at 8; champs elysees. Found Lion de bruxelles. orderd menu with moules marnieres. wasn't as good as provencales. dessert was a sugar waffle with a sliced can pear, a scoop of pear sorbet, and a squirt of whipped cream with chocolate sauce on the side.
